It was my cousin's birthday today and last night my sister mentions to him that we should do something fun like go out to lunch. Since I have been feeling a little under-the-weather and also don't like to spend money on going out to eat, I wasn't super into it. But we planned to go to Great Harvest. I figured I could get a cup of soup (since that's the only things that sounds good to me) and they also give you a slice of free bread if your order something. When I go to order they ask me what kind of bread I would like. Then I tell them that I am going to visit my husband at work after and if I could get a piece for him too. They obliged! They also informed me that soup comes with a slice of bread anyway. So I got to pick out another type of bread. I pay for my little cup of soup and get 3 HUGE pieces of pumpkin chocolate chip, cranberry artisan, and cinnimon raisin bread for FREE!
My cousin was late to lunch so while he was waiting in line to order, I talked to one of the employees.
"It's my cousin's birthday today, do you have any little birthday treats or anything"
Great Harvest Employee: "Hmmm we don't really, but I'll come up with something."
A couple of minutes later, she hands me a bag with a big cookie in it for FREE.
Thank you Great Harvest of Center Street in Logan!
You sure know how to treat a customer right, and all I had to do was ask :)
Later I dropped the pumpkin chocolate chip bread off to my husband at work.
Sometimes I like to surprise him like that. Typically, if I were to go buy him a treat that he likes, it usually ends up costing $3-$5! The treat I brought him today was completely free and he liked it just the same!
